Blog Traffic Analysis Demystified: Part - 5 (Motion Charts)

In continuation of this series, today we are going to look at one of the best data visualization tools available in Google Analytics - 'Motion Charts'. We will learn how to use this amazing data representation tool to get more clear picture of traffic trends over a period of time.


Google Analytics Motion Charts


Motion charts are flash animated data representation charts. They represent data in five dimensions. The x and y axis represents various metrics and the color and size of the dots help distinguish each entity uniquely. The slider helps you visualize the data in motion over a period of time. You can access these charts by clicking the 'Visualize' button as shown below.
