Useful Web Tools And Resources For Bloggers: Part - 3

This is a continuation of the series with new tools and resources for the bloggers. This compilation includes RSS booster and post ranker tool, twittering tool, server monitoring service, business card creation tool, blog back up service,content suggestion engine, feed by IM and much more. Use these tools and services to help your blog grow quick and fast. All these tools and services are free and can be easily integrated with your blog content and feed, to boost and enhance it for better reader experience.


AideRSS: This is an excellent RSS feed booster for adding that spice to your blog RSS. You can show your popular posts and rank of posts through an easy embeddable widget. Using it requires no registration and you can start instantly by providing the blog or RSS URL.

Deyey: Do you want a professional looking business card to share or show on your blog or website? Then this site offers free, highly customizable, professional looking business cards. It let's you create and edit almost every aspect related to your card including logo, text, color, font, orientation, size, images and much more.

TweetLater: As the name suggests, this site let's you tweet in future. You can set the time and can schedule up to 12 tweets in 1 hour time period. You can associate as many twitter accounts with your TweetLater account. It also allows you to set an automated custom welcome message, when someone starts following you.

Montastic: I personally use this service to monitor the status of my blog. Whenever your site's server will go down, it will send you an E-Mail informing you about the down status of the server. Similarly, as the site is alive, again you will receive an E-Mail about the new status. Simple and completely free of cost.

Blogpoll: Another excellent free blog poll service. You can completely customize your poll and results widget. The results are shown has bar chart for easy visualization. The layout, width, title, colors can be customized to blend with the look and feel of your blog.

Skribit: An excellent content suggestion engine for your blog. This cool feature facilitates the dialog between you and your readers, about the topics on which you should blog. The service is free and provides full customized widget for your blog. It also has voting feature for every suggestion made by the readers.

ScribeFire: One of the most popular Firefox plugin among bloggers. This amazing tool lets you post to Wordpress and Blogger powered blogs from within the browser, by suggesting relevant content and images in real time while creating a post. You can simply drag and drop the formatted text and images in your post and can create it in no time.

BlogBackupOnline: If you are worried about loosing your precious blog content by accident or by some other means, then this is an ideal solution for you. This service lets you back up your blog content, including blog posts, comments and categories. It automatically back's up your blog once every 24 hours, which can be easily restored later or exported in the XML format.

Jaiku: It is a clone of twitter, a popular micro-blogging service. Soon it is going to be acquired by Google and will be pushed in a big way. You can push in your blog feeds, conversations through sms, web or mobile phone. Customization of messages and account look and feel makes it an ideal service for micro-blogging.

FeedCrier: This is one of my favorite free feed promotion service. You can distribute your feed through MSN, Gabber/GTalk and AIM. The user has to simply provide the login id of his IM account, choose the appropriate IM service and has to give the URL of the blog. Whenever that blog is updated, the new post excerpt with link is sent by IM to your account automatically.
